At Santa Clarita Pet Cremation, we believe caring for families after the loss of a beloved pet is more than a service—it is a calling rooted in compassion, dignity, and respect. This summer, we are excited to welcome local high school students and young adults through our Summer Internship Program, designed to provide hands-on experience while introducing participants to meaningful careers in pet aftercare and veterinary support.
A Unique Opportunity to Make a Difference
Our internship program offers students a chance to learn firsthand how we help families honor their beloved companions. Interns will work alongside our caring team and gain insight into the memorialization process while providing support to grieving pet parents.
Whether students are interested in veterinary medicine, animal care, funeral service, or simply giving back to the community, this experience offers valuable skills and real-world exposure in a compassionate environment.
What Interns Will Experience
Throughout the program, participants will assist with:

Preparing memorial urns and keepsakes

Finishing clay & wooden paw prints for families

Organizing memorial items and remembrance packages

Assisting with pet urn hand-offs and family support

Learning about private pet cremation and memorial options

Understanding the importance of compassionate communication
Students will also attend a special educational presentation covering:

The pet cremation process

End-of-life care and memorialization

Understanding euthanasia and supporting pet families
Special Guest Veterinarian
We are honored to welcome a local veterinarian who will speak about euthanasia, quality-of-life decisions, and how veterinary professionals help families through one of life's most difficult moments. This presentation offers students valuable insight into the emotional and medical aspects of caring for pets.
Building Compassionate Leaders
Our goal is to inspire future veterinary professionals, animal advocates, and compassionate community leaders. Participants will learn that even small acts of kindness—such as preparing a paw print or carefully packaging an urn—can bring comfort to grieving families.
